SACRAMENTS

The seven sacraments – Baptism, Holy Communion, Confirmation, Reconciliation, Marriage, Holy Orders, and Anointing of the Sick – are the life of the Catholic Church. Each sacrament is an outward sign of an inward grace. In worship, we give to God that which we owe Him; in the sacraments, He gives us the graces necessary to live a truly human life.

Before you schedule any formal dates for Sacraments, sacramentals, or blessings, you need to speak with a priest.  Many of these require specific preparation. We invite you to learn more about each sacrament and how to participate in them here at St. Vincent and St. Mary of the Crown.

In addition to the 7 Sacraments the priests are available for Funerals, Quinceañeras, Presentaciónes, House Blessings and Annulments.

St. Mary of the Crown and St. Vincent parishes are transitioning to the Restored Order of the Sacraments in accordance with the Archdiocese of Denver.

Quinceañera

Quinceañera

“The quinceañera is a traditional celebration of life and gratitude to God on the occasion of the fifteenth birthday of a young Hispanic woman. The ritual emphasizes her passage from childhood to adulthood. The family usually requests a Mass or a blessing to be held in the Church. The rite is frequently celebrated in several countries in the Americas, including Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. It is frequently requested by Hispanic Catholics in the dioceses of the United States of America.” (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Website)

We celebrate our Quinceañera celebrations at St Mary of the Crown church at noon on Saturdays or if requested a Friday is possible too. We don’t do Quinceanera Masses only celebrations. For more information please contact Kary at Kary@stvincentstmary.com
