Parish Hall Campaign News

Background                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              The St. Vincent community has outgrown its physical capacity which includes the church’s main floor (4,000 sq. ft.) housing the sanctuary, lobby and kitchen. While the building does have a basement that is currently being used out of necessity, it is an unsafe environment for the children’s education program and does not accommodate larger group gatherings. In addition, it does not have proper ventilation nor windows and is a potential fire hazard with only one exit leading to the outside. Fortunately, the church also owns the adjacent lot and former rectory.

This creates an opportunity to demolish the house and create space for a new 2,400-square-foot expansion. The new building will be highly energy efficient and the airy single-story structure will be designed for flexible configuration with movable partitions for classrooms, meeting and conference rooms and community gatherings. The primary use of this new Parish Hall will be for youth and adult religious education programs and a community gathering space following mass. In addition, parish celebrations and community fundraisers will be held here, relocating these events from the main church sanctuary, and improving the safety of our church building.

Parish Hall Capital Campaign                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      The new Parish Hall has a projected total cost of $1,000,000 and following the demolition of the current building this fall, construction will initiate next spring. The Archdiocese of Denver has offered to provide a low-interest loan for a portion of the campaign if necessary. St. Vincent’s goal is to receive a minimum of $900,000 in charitable contributions in order to move forward and we are delighted to report we have already been blessed with $700,000 in commitments.

St. Vincent’s invites you to join in creating this new spiritual space for our community and bring our parishioners together through various events and classes. Leadership gifts of $10,000 or more will be acknowledged and celebrated on an installment in the new Parish Hall. St. Vincent’s thanks you in advance for your consideration and your continued support and prayers. God Bless!
