Liturgical Ministries

The Liturgy is central to our life together at St. Vincent’s and St. Mary of the Crown. There are many opportunities to participate in the ministries related to our worship such as greeters, ushers, lectors, Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion, servers, musicians, and altar servers.

Annual trainings occur throughout the year. We welcome all to become a liturgical minister. If you are available to serve in this important ministry please contact Anna Maria Whalen at the parish office at office@stvincentstmary.com or 970.704.0820.

Ushers

The ushers are responsible for hospitality and meeting the needs of people at all weekend masses. Assist the congregation with seating, offertory, taking up the gifts, directing the congregation during communion, and distributing parish bulletins at the end of mass. If you see that you can help during a Mass, we welcome your involvement. If you are available to serve in this important ministry please contact Oscar Contreras at Oscar@stvincentstmary.com

Lectors

Serve the community by proclaiming the Word of God through scripture readings at all masses.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Assist the priest at Mass with the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ. These ministers have been trained and commissioned to carry out this sacred duty. They also bring Holy Communion to the sick and home-bound. For more information, please contact Oscar at Oscar@stvincentstmary.com

Altar Servers

Boys and girls who have made their First Communion and are in third grade (or older) are welcome to this ministry. Attendance in a training session is necessary prior to serving.

Sacristans

The sacristans are responsible for the preparation and care of the materials used in the liturgy. If you are available to serve in this important ministry please contact Oscar Contreras at Oscar@stvincentstmary.com
