Religious Education

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text]Between 50-100 children from both parishes participate two Sunday’s per month to religious education throughout the school year. The success of this program is due to the generous help of multiple adults and confirmed high school teens who teach the children’s classes.

It is during the religious education schedule that children prepare for the sacraments of First Holy Communion, Confirmation and First Reconciliation.

Our religious education programming includes bible studies and small faith sharing groups for adults and sacramental preparation for children. Our curriculum for children is from the Archdiocese of Denver “Saints among us” and Augustine Institute “Sign of Grace”.

All of our volunteers have taken a Safe Environment Class and we run a background check.

We will host a National Evangelization Teams (NET) retreat on Saturday, January 14th from 8:00am to 3:30pm at St. Mary of the Crown for 5th-12th graders. The theme will be “True Presence” The mission of NET is to Challenge young Catholics to love Christ and embrace the life of the church. If you want to register your child for this retreat, please contact Kary at Kary@stvincentstmary.com

We will be asking for a donation of $20 per child to cover food expenses. We will provide breakfast, snacks & lunch.

Safe Environment Training
